Upgrading SlackelLive-64

I installed SlackelLive-64-openbox on a USB stick.
If I check on upgrades I get about 280 odd files to be upgraded.

That would take with my system several hours especially since
some of the heavy weights are in the slackel.gr/repo which we know
is very slow.

Now my question:
Does it makes sense to make such an upgrade or better wait
for a new upgraded iso?

BTW it is a great box with persistent working fine on ext3 format.

Since installation done in the usb, it does not worth to do a full update with persistent. It is better to just upgrade programs you like e.g. Firefox, Thunderbird.
Slackel repos are slow because of Sourceforge. I do not own my own server. I use free Sourceforge servers which are slow.

If you do a real installation to hard disk then always you will have the latest slackware version running. No need to reinstall ever. Just update system when you informed by the system. This way there will be no huge downloads. Slackel 7.0 is released a long time ago and there are many packages to be updated.
