I would like old sudo back

Post by atipp »

Thanks for the greetings!

In the new year I have made Slackel64-openbox my main
distro after I installed Fluxbox as desktop feeling more at home.

My happiness would be complete if I could get rid of that
continuously and annoying asking for a password for sudo.

I am the sole user of my PC and no one else around to touch it.
I have read how to avoid this password asking, however, can
not stop it.

Case in point:
sudo mount /mnt/dir
Password:

later:
sudo unmount /mnt/dir
Password:

That is insane and on the same terminal.

How can I get the old sudo without password back?

To avoid asking for password completely edit /etc/sudoers.d/10-wheel and add the NOPASSWD: in the line %wheel ALL=(ALL) ALL

Code: Select all

 %wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL

Great :D

Thanks!

Now it is more fun. I choose slackel64 as my current desktop
over slint64 since slint64 is still buggy unlike slint32.
