Emacs was upgraded to version 29.1 at 30 July 2023, however it won't run if tree-sitter is not installed. This is a new package and a new dependency for Emacs, as stated in changelogs. So I guess it must be added in the corresponding dependency files, both for Slackel 32- and 64-bit

Works now. I still didn't try to upgrade the kernel, and I probably won't do that until they fix the wifi issue. But normal packages were all upgraded without any problem.

This is similar to previous minor issues, with packages failing to upgrade because Slackware-Current repos has more recent versions than the ones the system is trying to upgrade: imagemagick is supposed to be upgraded to version 7.1.1_12-x86_64-1, while Slackware-Current repos has version 7.1.1_12-x...

I avoided upgrading kernel-firmware (and even the kernel itself) for now. I guess Slackware-Current needs more quality control.
